Well, today is our last day with the TV. Figures that both Lost and Alias would have their season finales on the same night, and that it would all last 3 hours. I am looking forward to life without a television, but I honestly don’t know how hard or easy it will be once we are actually doing it. I think it will be much harder for Sara. She really likes flipping around between channels, but even she has gotten sick of the constant stream of advertising and commercials.
Anyone see American Idol last night? I’ve only caught bits and pieces here and there over the season, but watched most of last night. Of course I want Bo to win. Rock over country any day! I didn’t vote this time, so I guess shame on me if he doesn’t win.
I’ve been having weird sci fi dreams. I’ve been wanting to see Episode III again (as well as all the other Star Wars movies), but in the meantime I’ve been reading Star Wars books, which I’m sure have influenced my dreams. Definitely weird, but interesting dreams. Now, if I could only remember them…
Been listening to:
Beck – Guero
Franz Ferdinand – (self titled)
Snow Patrol – Final Straw
Queen – Greatest hits
Classic Queen
The Music – Welcome to the north
Johnny Cash – Life
Ben Harper & the blind boys of Alabama – There will be a light
The Fellowship of the ring soundtrack
Bruce Springsteen – The Rising
Bruce Springsteen & the E street Band – Live in New York City
The Twilight Singers – She loves you
And finally, was Burt Reynolds ever considered a good actor? He’s in 2 movies coming out soon: Dukes of Hazzard (as Boss Hogg) and the new Adam Sandler movie, The longest yard. Seems to me to be kind of a hack…
Mike,
I also want Bo to win. He is going to be working with the legendary Clive Davis (Velvet Revolver, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Aerosmith).
I think Bo may be the next Rod Stewart (A rocker with soul).
Anyways, Carrie Underwood should be set as well with a Country recording contract as well.
As long as Bo follows old school Stewart and not his current schlock, that will be fine.
Yeah, I could see Bo getting into the Aerosmith vibe. That definitely fits.
Burt Reynolds is a good actor, but he does have a semi famous quote, “I can’t believe I’ve made so many bad movies.” The longest yard is a remake of a movie of the same name of which Reynolds was the star. I’d give the movie a C+. He was also in Deliverance and wasn’t the “hack”. Deliverance is a move for “mature” audiences and it’s not about demons. I’d give it a B or B+.
[...] guess I have a love/hate relationship with TV. I “gave it up” 2 years ago, and it sucked me back in in a sense. I guess what I hate about TV (as watched [...]
